A highly innovative and successful global cosmetics manufacturer wanted to find bottom-line savings to re-inject into funding growth. Costs needed to fuel rather than simply be a result of top-line growth.
Shared Vision
To produce a high-level business case highlighting potential value creation opportunities and to deliver the first wave of identified savings.
Feasible Plan
We analysed priorities and barriers to change by conducting interviews and collaborative workshops across organisational boundaries. We then co-developed user-friendly spend dashboards to provide spend visibility globally and an opportunity analysis, covering process, tools and organisation. Following this we implemented a wave of Sourcing initiatives across multiple categories coupled with a category led budget approach.
Capability to Deliver
To embed sustainable change, we created a uniquely strong dialogue between finance, Procurement and Operations - drawing dispersed teams together behind a well-defined goal, with detailed plans. Execution phase was implemented successfully, starting a few weeks after initial recommendation.
Result
Visibility - for the first time - of close to 400M Euro spend via bespoke global dashboards.
