A growing multinational with 80 years history in the sector faced a strong desire internally and a pressing need from its Customers to expand their industry leadership beyond product quality and affordability into sustainability.
To shift towards Sustainable Product Leadership and become a bigger and (above all) better company for all its stakeholders (customers, employees, community, suppliers, shareholders).
We began with a full day leadership offsite where we aligned on the sustainability opportunity and co-developed a bold sustainability ambition (of which carbon neutrality). We then developed a set of strategic choices, supported by a robust execution plan aligned with all internal functions. To move to action, we established a sustainability program consisting of 10 critical projects for the near and mid term, owned by the European Foodservice Group teams and sponsored by the Exec Committee.
Capability to Deliver
Provided strategic competence and coaching in developing an integrated sustainability strategy, co-created with the lead team and worked them on how to integrate the Group’s sustainability ambition and actions into its culture / DNA. We built capability within the European Foodservice Group on key topics such as regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, sustainable procurement, reporting and circular packaging in collaboration with expert partners. Worked with the team on Purpose Led Branding to articulate why brands exist.
